The Boot Brush

The boot brush is a device intended to remove debris that is typically tracked into buildings during the winter. During winter in the northeast, salt is used, some would say in excessive quantities, to melt snow and ice.

Salt sticks to people’s shoes and gets tracked inside where it creates a mess and can have harmful effects on floors. To remedy this issue, the boot brush provides three brushed surfaces arranged so that a person may clean their shoes before entering a building. To use the device, a person slides their foot inside the channel, and the brushes do the rest. The device can be secured to the ground using four bolts to ensure it doesn’t slide around while in use.
