Presented with a situation where kids were crossing a busy street in a place that was not marked, my team determined that there was a serious safety hazard. We were told we had $400 and 8 weeks to build a system that solved the problem we evaluated. Our solution was to provide more marking to raise driver awareness and give the children a method of safe passage.
